In Britain Everything Stops For Tea

The UK might have embraced coffee as the fashionable drink of the noughties, but a cup of tea is still the drink to calm Britons in a crisis, according to a new university study.
Psychologist Dr Malcolm Cross at City University London confirms what we’ve suspected all along – a cup of tea can significantly reduce anxiety levels after suffering a stressful experience, in some cases making people calmer than they were before.
The study commissioned by Direct Line to explore why 68% of us turn to tea in a dilemma – making humble ‘brew’ the UK’s most common response to trouble (above calling our Mum).
So now you know. There are no problems, only challenges. And when faced with a challenge, get a nice warm cuppa.

I fully agree – i used to drink coffee all the time.
However after the wife turned me towards tea i have never drunk anything else since!
